Clayton Prince, Cream Versus Empire, A Copyright Infringement Case
Featured Client: Clayton Prince, Philadelphia actor, singer, producer, writer
Celebrated film writer Lee Daniels was one of the judges in “Set in Philadelphia” Screenwriting Competition (SIP) at the Philadelphia Film Office, the year Clayton Prince pitched his already copyrighted TV pilot, "Cream." As claimed by Prince, the pilot screenplay was handed directly to Daniels who expressed a deep interest in Clayton's work, and Daniels represented that he would follow up with Prince soon thereafter. Daniels never followed through on communication with Prince. Since the premiere of the hit show Empire, Daniels claims himself as one of the lead creators, bearing an uncanny resemblance to Cream, according the Prince, his attorney and list of evidence.
Established advocates for the arts and seasoned in public relations campaigns, Mandee K. Hammerstein (MA in Professional Communications) and Will Hammerstein Esq.
