Did you figure out how you're going to have fun with your date this weekend?? Well, after being single and in the dating loop here and there, all the while loving New Hope where I work and live – I’m proud to say New Hope is # 9 in the nation for dating!! So, I’ve got it covered for you this Saturday & Sunday!
Ok, first commit to staying overnight at one of New Hope or Lambertville’s cozy little B&Bs – the “Visit Bucks” County website is a great source to find what suits your overnight taste, then book an eve of laughter & nostalgia for you and your date at the Bucks County Playhouse this Saturday to see Jimmie “JJ” Walker, you can even grab a night cap at one of the theater’s three bars!
Of course you’ll want to indulge in dinner at one of our intimate dinning spots within our romantic lil’ riverside borough before the show – there’s always candles glowing in the eve or even a warm fire to curl up near with your favorite new found bite! And if it’s not too, too cold, I personally enjoy dining in Lambertville then walk over our scenic bridge into New Hope & stop at some unique shops along the way!
So after your perfect Saturday night, wake up Sunday morning, catch a big, yummy & borderline sinful breakfast within walking distance – just ask a friendly local for the inside scoop on where to go!
Now that I have your comic relief, meals & over night stay planned – here’s your impressive grand finale Sunday before you head back to reality– this is where you’ll really impress your partner by revealing your intellectual & resourceful side and head over for some genuine, mind-stimuli at the New Hope Historical Society’s Parry Mansion for a free, educational event!
You’ll both catch a history-enriching experience pertaining to the origins of New Hope and learn about the “father” of New Hope “Benjamin Parry” – you’ll be surrounded by fellow minds intrigued by history and culture and all the while, you’ll have the option to additionally enjoy complimentary wine to flow with your conversations! Also, during this event, featured historian authors will be on site who just launched a new children’s book, “Let’s Visit New Hope” which introduces kids and their families to our history and current day happenings here in the most colorful and playful way! "Let's Visit New Hope" will be available for purchase that day (3/1/15) and will be specially signed by the authors (Roy Ziegler, Gayle Goodman) & illustrator (Pat Achilles) with each purchase. Ps. kids are very much welcomed to this event too & if you have kiddies in your life and decide leave them home, you'll have a new, wonderful souvenir to give & share with them!
